Speaking after the launch in Abuja, NOTAP’s Director General Dr Umar Bindir said the product is an instructional tool aimed at the basic educational level to produce highly skilled science and tech manpower needed by the country.
The concept involves a step-by-step graphic/pictorial representation of the technological process of transforming raw materials to final consumable products, he said.
According to him, “it will also teach school children about entrepreneurship development at an early age so that when they grow up they can be attracted to start their own business.”
He said “it was conceived from experiences of monitoring the implementation of technology transfer agreements carried out in some industries where it was realised that the process tech used by industries in the production of their products can be captured as storyboard to young school children.”
