Nothing gladdens the Christian heart as much as Christmas. The story of the birth of Jesus Christ never grows old, and even those who do not celebrate Christmas cannot avoid the spirit of the season.

In the facility located inside Le Meridien Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, all but one of the vehicles would be exclusively for lucky golfers who are able to shoot a hole-in-one in the about five championships planned for the year.
One of the jeeps, however, must be won during the last event via a raffle draw, which is also open to clients of the five Starwood Hotels facilities in the country as well as that of West Star Jeep outfits in Lagos and Abuja.
Since the golf club was commissioned barely seven years ago, about seven golfers including Princewill Albert and Nsima Ekanem have recorded hole-in-one at the club.
However, golfers have all-year to buy tickets for the raffle, which holds in December. Same applies to customers of the different Starwood facilities and West Star outfits in the country.
Speaking to The Guardian in an interview, consultant golf administrator at the club Sam Logan said, “We hope to stage about five or six events in the course of 2015, if things work out well, and as planned. And will have a hole-in one jeep for every one of these tournaments. The hole-in-one will happen on Hole 14, which is a Par Three hole.
“If throughout the year no one makes a hole-in-one to win the jeeps, that is really not our fault. However, we are coming up with a plan to work with West Star Associates to put up a jeep during our raffle draw in the final event, Logan stated.
In that direction, he continued, throughout the year 2015, we will have a raffle programme, which when you buy a ticket for N1, 000, here at the club or in any of the five Starwood property in Nigeria, you are qualified for a raffle that you could win a West Star jeep in the final edition of our 2015 tournaments.
“Even if someone wins a hole-in-one in that last event, we will still put up a second jeep for the raffle. So what we are going to do is that we are going to begin the sale of tickets at the beginning of the year and any qualified person can buy as many tickets as he/she wishes to buy, as this will brighten the buyer’s chances of winning the sports utility vehicle.
“Additionally, the sale of these tickets will basically help us to get enough money to pay for the jeep (for the raffle draw) ourselves. In other words, the hotel is basically going to buy a jeep, which must be won during the raffle draw of the final event in 2015. Even if we don’t get monies amounting to the cost of the jeep, the hotel will still go ahead with the exercise.
Starwood customers that are not golfers, but participate in the raffle draw, which sales of ticket commences in January, Logan said are very qualified to win the raffle.
“Our goal is to get people to buy as many ticket as they wish because that brightens their chances of winning. By this raffle, we want to see one of our clients/golfer being very happy after winning the jeep, and this obviously will make our tournament very popular.”
