Gospel musician, Abby Godwin, has weighed in on the debate amongst believers concerning rewarding or in other words “paying” musicians in the church.

During her interview at Rythm FM, she spoke on some revealing matters, including how she met the late Sammie Okposo and how he connected her to House On The Rock; a global Church.

She stressed that her beginning wasn’t all rosy but God helped her connect to some key persons and the whole process has led to where she is now.

Touching a very delicate topic, one majorly debated amongst Christians, Abby Godwin shared her view on the church paying musicians.

“I think there should be a balance. There’s nothing wrong with paying committed musicians, especially when that’s what they do professionally,” she said.

Furthermore, at her other interview with Kiss FM Lagos, Abby Godwin spoke on the process by which she got her hit song “None As Great” with IBK.

“I was working and then it was like God cracked open the heavens and I could hear these melodies coming through, I quickly grabbed my phone and recorded what I could make off it,” She said.
