However, this registration as seen and opined by many Nigerians, is only a mere test, the real task ahead of them involves serious consolidation of party machineries across the length and breadth of the country, a clean process  of producing the party’s new leadership, a sound and generally acceptable blueprint on how the party  intends to address the country’s numerous multidimensional challenges, including the somewhat controversial task of producing a very credible Nigerian as the party’s presidential flag bearer who will not only be fairly accepted within the geopolitical zones of the country, but someone that is capable of giving the ‘incumbents’ a tough challenge in the next coming election.
My humble advice to the in-coming leadership of this newly registered party, if at all they really mean business in terms of providing what Nigeria and Nigerians have been longing for – which is CHANGE – is for them to prepare for it. I mean total transformational change; change in our democracy, change in our civil service, change in our judiciary, change in our police, change in the private sector, change in our schools, change in our markets, change in our churches, change in our mosques as well as  change in our homes.
This will no doubt require, on the part of the new party leadership, tremendous courage, sacrifice and self-less leadership qualities. Above all, they should eschew every form of political bitterness and sentiment. They should likened Nigeria to an airplane with many passengers on board. Shortly after the plane takes off and while mid-air, the pilot suddenly develops some heart complications. The co-pilot took charge immediately and while he was trying to take full control, the main pilot sadly gave up. Soon after the co-pilot had taken over, the passengers immediately discovered that he was not a competent pilot; in fact it was evident that he could not be able to land the plane safely. This led to serious panic, pandemonium and confusion. Suddenly, a glimpse of hope for survival appeared. After series of desperate consultations and prayers, two passengers (A and B) were discovered to be trained pilots. At the end of a thorough screening and interview process carried out on the two pilot-passengers (A and B), it was unanimously agreed that pilot-passenger ‘B’ was more competent than pilot-passenger ‘A’, in fact more capable of flying and landing the plane safely. What do you think is going to be the next appropriate decision of all the passengers on board that plane? Your guess is as good as mine.
