Now that order returns to Pandogari…

Aliyu succeeded his father to the throne in 1999, but was wrongly removed from office by the immediate past administration in the state.

But by the virtue of the powers conferred on Governor Babangida Aliyu by section 212 (1) (a) (2) of the 1999 constitution of the Federation Republic of Nigeria, the governor sequel to petitions by concerned citizens from several quarters on wrongful removal of the District Head from office by the former administration, constituted a committee to look into the veracity or otherwise of the allegations in 2007.

It is gratifying to note that, after a thorough investigation of the issues at stake, the panel which sat for over 12 calendar months, finally found the District Head blameless. He was given a clean bill of health and consequently recommended for his immediate reinstatement.

The Chief Servant, otherwise known as the people’s governor accordingly reinstated Aliyu, as the bona fide District Head of Pandogari on August 15, 2009.

Without recourse to due process and the rule of law, Mallam Yakubu Abubakar was handpicked to fill the vacuum created in 2003 by the illegal removal from office of the District Head. The voice of the people is really the voice of Allah (SWA). The government White Paper with Ref No. MFLGCD/ SEC/12/S.10/1, dated 10th August 2009, which gave birth to the reinstatement of our District Head, has vindicated us at last. We are most grateful.
