NPC creates productivity measurement dept, promotes 9 senior staff

The National Productivity Centre (NPC) has created a new department of productivity measurement and index to address issues of productivity measurement, data collection and analysis in the nation’s economy.
This was announced by Alhaji Kashim Akor, the director-general of the centre, in  Abuja.
The department with its  staff had started operation.
Akor    announced the promotion of 40 staff of the centre, following the conduct of the 2016 promotion exercise.   He said the minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has approved the promotion of 12 senior management staff and 28 senior officers that were successful in the 2016 promotion exercise conducted by the Personnel Management Board of the Centre in July, 2016.
The newly promoted senior management staff consists of five directors, six deputy directors and one assistant director.  The erstwhile acting director of corporate affairs, Mr Gbenga Bamiduro, is one of the newly promoted directors. 
Other newly promoted directors were  Mrs. Florence Emeka-Opara (agriculture and rural productivity), Engr. Joseph Oloketuyi (productivity measurement and index), Dr Nasir Raji-Mustapha (state office coordination and procurement), and Mrs. Peace Nwaozuzu (Lagos State office).
