Lobi Stars’ season has been marred by poor results, with the team struggling on the pitch. The two-time NPFL-winning coach confirmed his departure following a brief supervisory stint with the relegation-threatened side.

A string of disappointing performances has seen the club go through three different coaches before Baba Ganaru’s arrival, which followed the departure of former Super Eagles player Daniel Amokachi. However, it was revealed that Baba Ganaru never signed a formal contract with the club and was only overseeing the team in a temporary capacity.

Lobi Stars have lost three of their last five matches, including a 1-0 defeat to Ikorodu City FC last weekend—a result that further deepened their relegation woes during Baba Ganaru’s short tenure.

With his exit, Lobi Stars are now in search of their fifth coach of the season. The club has only managed 23 points in 28 games, leaving the incoming manager with a daunting task—securing at least six wins from the remaining 10 matches to keep their survival hopes alive.
