In a related development, Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin unveiled 13 new players yesterday to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. According to a statement from the club’s Media Officer, Kehinde Osagiede, these players are part of the 18 new signings made by the club, replacing 13 players who left at the end of the last season.

The Executive Chairman of the Edo Sports Commission, Olympian Yussuf Alli, emphasized the importance of discipline and focus as the new recruits integrate with the existing team. He stressed that this cohesion is crucial for the team to perform well and bring pride to the state.

Alli expressed confidence in Coach Monday Odigie and his team’s potential to achieve success in the upcoming season. He also challenged the new players to start the season strong by defeating Rivers United in their opening match on Sunday.
