The National Executive Committee (NEC) of National Rescue Movement (NRM) has dissolved the party’s executives at all levels nationwide following the expiration of their four-year tenure which commenced in 2017 after its registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Addressing journalists after the NEC meeting on Wednesday in Abuja, the former national chairman of the party, Senator Saidu Dansadau, said caretaker committees would be constituted to run the affairs of the party and conduct congresses and national convention to elect new officers.
He said the party congresses would be conducted on February 5, 2022, to elect officers at polling units.
He said NRM is a progressive party and urged Nigerians to vote it into office to take over from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that have been alternating power with no vision to improve the wellbeing of the citizenry.
