The Nasarawa state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has apprehended three suspected drug peddlers, who are allegedly operating around communities in Dadin Kowa, Kurkyo Road and GSS Bukan Sidi in Lafia, the state capital.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the command, Jerry Victor.
He gave the names of the suspects, who had illicit drugs in their possession at the time of arrest, as Ovey Stephen, 24, Yusuf Auwal, 21, and Musa Ismaila, 17.
According to the statement, all the suspects were nabbed in Dadin Kowa in Lafia LGA of the state while on their way to sell the drugs and other illicit substances.

The statement added that the leader of the group, Ovey Stephen, who hails from Nasarawa Eggon Local government of the state but resides in Bukan Sidi Lafia confessed to the crime and pleaded for mercy.
Items recovered from the suspects, he said, includes seven bundles of wrapped Cannabis Sativa (Indian Hemp), nine sticks of Golden Seal Cigarettes, one hand made shisha pot, made with a rubber container.
Others are one Sharp single edge knife, three cigar lighter, one dark eye glass and unidentified drugs and substances.
