NSCDC arrests man, dad for defiling 13-year-old daughter

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has arrested the father and grandfather of a 13-year-old girl at Erin-Osun in Osun State for allegedly defiling the minor. The NSCDC Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Daniel Adigun, confirmed the arrest of the duo to Daily Trust in Osogbo on Tuesday.

Adigun said the girl opened up to someone that she lives with her 43-year-old father, Ademola Lukman, and her grandpa, and that her father and her grandfather have been having carnal knowledge of her.

He said the father and the mother of the girl have separated. He added that the girl was with the grandmother at some point but the father forcefully took her away from the grandmother.

However, the father of the girl and her grandfather denied having carnal knowledge of the girl. The State Commandant of NSCDC, Emmanuel Ocheja, said the matter would be thoroughly investigated.

NSCDC handed the girl over to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs pending the conclusion of investigation into the matter.
