The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) in Nasarawa State has arrested a mother, her son and one other who was hired to write the just concluded JAMB examination in Lafia, the state capital.
The commandant of the corp in the state, Muhammed Gidado Fari, who paraded the suspects alongside other criminals, yesterday, in Lafia said the suspect was caught writing the JAMB examination at the Command Secondary School Lafia at the weekend on contract to be paid an unspecified amount of money after her son passed the examination.
The mother, Okoye Chika, confessed to newsmen, saying, “We couldn’t get admission for many years so I became frustrated, he is also frustrated and nobody is helping us. I have other children and they have graduated but his own is for the past four years or more now he has failed to pass the exams.
“So I now ask his friend to help him write the exams, I told him I will dash him something but I know it is a very bad thing please forgive me.”
