Men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Bauchi State have arrested a suspected kidnapper, Muhammad Sani Rinji, in Toro LGA.
The corps also arrested a suspected fake medical doctor, Usman Sadique Yelwa, working with the General Hospital, Misau.
The state Commandant of NSCDC, Ilelaboye Oyejide, who briefed journalists on Wednesday, said that luck ran out on Rinji on October 15, 2023.
Oyejide explained that, “The suspect was arrested by our officers working with the Nasarawa State Command in Lafia based on credible intelligence. During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he and his gang members were responsible for the series of kidnappings and robberies in Toro LGA and beyond. He gave a vivid account of his involvement in the kidnapping business.”
