Our correspondent gathered that the abductors, who were carrying AK-47 rifles, invaded the victim’s residence and started shooting sporadically to scare residents before they took her away.

Daily Trust learnt that the Commander’s younger brother, who is also a personnel of the NSCDC, was shot during the incident in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.
He is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lafia and is reportedly responding to treatment.
The incident, our correspondent gathered, occurred on Wednesday at about 8:30pm.

Confirming the incident to our correspondent on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command of NSCDC, Mr Jerry Victor, stated that the whereabouts of the victim was still unknown.
According to him, the command had already deployed its personnel to the area in order to rescue the victim unhurt, adding that the kidnappers are yet to reach out to the command and the family of the victim.
