NSCDC deploys 1,750 personnel in Osun

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has announced the deployment of 1,750 personnel to protect lives and property before, during, and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

This was contained in a statement issued in Osogbo on Wednesday by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer for the state, Kehinde Adeleke.

According to the statement, the State Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo, has directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to ensure comprehensive security coverage across the state throughout the festivities. 

Sotiyo emphasized the critical need for vigilance and proactive security measures during this period.

He stated that the deployment is part of the Corps’ deliberate strategy to guarantee the safety of residents and visitors. 

According to him, officers and men of the Corps have been strategically stationed at markets, recreational centers, critical national assets, and other public spaces to maintain peace and order. (NAN)
