The Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, has ordered the strategic deployment of over 40,000 personnel across the country.
The spokesman of the corps, Babawale Afolabi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, that the deployment was to ensure the protection of lives and property and safeguard the nation’s critical national assets and infrastructure, among others.
He hinted that the corps would deploy both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches to nip in the bud all acts of criminality before, during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebration in all states of the nation.
