The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ekiti State Command has deployed 900 officers and men to tackle the increase in crime rate associated with the Yelutide and the need for people to observe COVID-19 Protocols.
The Commandant, Mr. Solomon Iyamu, who said that COVID-19 is still ravaging the country, called for concerted effort from the people to limit the spread of the virus and make it easier for government to plan and contain it.
The commandant noted that intelligence officers have been deployed to some identified black spots in Ado metropolis and other big towns in the state.
He warned that the Corps will not take it lightly with anyone who attempted to vandalise critical national asset and infrastructure especially during the festive season.
