NSCDC, FRSC partner for safer FCT roads

The FCT commands of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) are strengthening their collaboration to ensure safer roads in Abuja.

This reinforced partnership was solidified during a courtesy visit by the new FRSC Sector Commander, Felix Theman, to NSCDC Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, on Friday.

Odumosu said Theman’s visit was a significant step in strengthening the existing relationship between the two agencies.

He assured the FRSC of the NSCDC’s continued support in promoting a safe driving culture and preventing road crashes. (NAN)

“The security and safety of all FCT residents is our priority, and we will continue to support and work with other relevant government agencies tasked with these responsibilities,” Odumosu said. “We will be your support system, ready at all times to work with your men in the field to prevent harassment or attacks on them by deviant and recalcitrant road users.”

The commandant emphasized that road safety is a collective responsibility and preventing road crashes should not be left to the FRSC alone.

He urged all Nigerians and other security agencies to join the campaign to improve the driving culture in the FCT. (NAN)
