The Rivers State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) on Tuesday paraded 15 suspects allegedly involved in vandalization of oil pipelines and diversion of stolen petroleum products.
A barge containing suspect crude oil and five trucks impounded by the command were displayed before journalists.
Parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Muhammed Haruna, said one of the suspects , Amaobi Allen, who he said was on the wanted list of the command had on several occasions vandalised Nigerian AGIP oil well head located at Migbidi Location.
Haruna who was represented by the command’s Head of Anti Vandalism, Sani Mustapha, said the suspect had also threatened NSCDC personnel and staff of the Nigerian AGIP oil Company.
