The Kano state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has redeployed the Divisional Officer in charge of Fagge Division over the death of a suspect in custody.
NSCDC State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved the removal of the divisional officer, SC Amina Musa Kolawole, and announced the deployment of CSC Bashir Isa Abubakar as replacement.
The command announced this in a statement its Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, issued on Friday.
The command explained that the decision was taken after a panel of inquiry was set up to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“All officers and men on duty on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, including the divisional officer in question, have been transferred to the Nigerian Police, Kano State Command for further investigation and necessary actions,” the statement added.
The corps appealed for calm and assured members of the public of its commitment to protecting the sanctity of life, respecting human rights, and upholding professionalism, integrity and the rule of law.
