The award, presented on November 30, 2023, recognizes engineers whose contributions have significantly advanced the frontiers of science, technology, and national development.

The recognition celebrates Mr. Ajuwon’s pioneering work at the intersection of data engineering, machine learning, and intelligent infrastructure systems, where he has redefined how large-scale data ecosystems are built and governed across emerging markets.

Mr. Ajuwon’s career reflects a consistent vision: to make data a development asset for African economies. As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Strategist at Land Republic, he spearheaded the design of one of Africa’s first ML-integrated intelligence platforms, merging spatial data, blockchain-based title verification, and predictive modeling for urban planning.
His data pipelines built on machine-learning models have enabled thousands of property and financial records, reducing fraud exposure by over 40% and improving access to verified land data for citizens and investors across five continents.

Beyond real estate, Mr. Ajuwon’s impact spans fintech, gaming, animations, XR, and many other industries. Recipients undergo a multi-stage vetting process by the NSE Executive Committee and Council, emphasizing measurable national impact, leadership excellence, and innovation.
