The feat is a culmination of many months of hard work and maintenance of highest standards in service delivery, especially in information and communication technology, a representative of the British High Commission in Nigeria, David Wolfe, said during the presentation.
Chairman, NSITF, Ngozi Olejeme, who received the certification at the event, said the process was “painstaking” attesting to the funds’ capabilities, making it a “global best practice government institution embracing the highest echelon of standards that ensure efficiency and dependability of its operators, as a result of its deployment of global standard information security mechanisms.”
She added that “we therefore now have in place a system that can detect the minutest risk factors in our operations, thereby reducing loss to its barest minimum.”
Wolfe, who presented the certificate, had commended the fund on its achievement, saying it deserved it for implementing and maintaining an excellent information management standard.
“I know how difficult the ISO certification process can be, this award represents lots of hard work by NSITF, Global Infor Swift, supported under the watchful eyes of British standard institute. ISO 27001 is an information security management standard setting a systematic approach to manage sensitive company information to remain secure.
“It helps organisations to manage their asset such as financial information…so it is important business or government agencies take this systematic approach in protecting their information and that of their clients. ISO represent commitment to service delivery to consumers and achieving improved high standards, “he said.
