Until his appointment, Malam Adadu headed the Department of Political Science.  
Adadu described his appointment as a call to duty and an opportunity to exhibit his knowledge and experience having worked at the same office previously at the University of Jos.
The senior lecturer said: “I hope to make a difference in the office and in the university at large.”
In his reaction to the appointment, the Head of Department of Mass Communication Malam Muhammad S. Rabi’u, said: “Malam Adadu is coming to the office formidably equipped.  
“He was also the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Nasarawa State University Chapter. With this background, he is superbly equipped to accomplish things. I congratulate him.”
