A 200-seat capacity lecture complex has been build for the Department of Mass Communication Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK).
 The complex was handed over to the department by the Vice Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Mohammad Mainoma, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Yakubu Ngwai.
Mainoma regretted that the complex which was started in 2007 could not be completed in time, but asked the department to ensure that the facility is put into good use and advised that contractors who are in the habit of delaying projects unnecessarily be blacklisted.
The Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Andrew Zamani, while receiving the keys to the complex, assured the vice chancellor and the university management that the building will motivate the department to soar higher in its academic pursuits in order to make the institution proud.
He said the new structure will give mass communication students the needed comfort to settle down for serious academic business.
“We can only show our appreciation by assuring you that the Department of Mass Communication will get full accreditation when the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation panel visits,” he said.
 He added that the relocation of mass communication to the Faculty of Social Sciences is a step in the right direction.
