The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the Organization of Youth in International Trade and Commerce (OY-ITC) and the AFROAGRICEXPO LLC based in Houston Texas, USA, will come together next week in the United States in a partnership designed to host Made-in-Nigeria show in order to boost non-oil exports trade in the country.

A statement by the president of OY-ITC, Chinedu Amadi, said the group harnesses the creativity, competence and productivity of youths and women in Nigeria, showcases and shares same to the global community through trade missions – the first being the Houston ’22 Trade Show and Exhibitions starting on Monday to Saturday next week.

Amadi said Houston ’22 would not just be a buy and sell scenario, adding that roundtable discussions would be robust and rewarding.

“Participants will be amazed at how manufacturers handle the total lack of electricity in Nigeria. There are other challenges including the ease of doing business and policy somersaults that would be quite instructive to investors willing to come to Nigeria. The OY-ITC lesson to the world from the Houston ’22 outing would be that tough business environments give rise to higher levels of creativity and innovation’’, Mr. Amadi said.

The Director General of NTA, Malam Yakubu IBN Muhammed, while highlighting the importance of the trade show, said Nigeria has the competences and products to make the country a great nation.
