The Director- General, National Teachers Institute (NTI), Professor Garba Dahuwa Azare, has said the institute will improve the learning achievements of school children by providing quality teacher education in line with international best practices.
Professor Azare who made the statement in Kaduna said the institute would play its roles in developing the educational sector in the country by ensuring that the quality of its students met the best international standards.
The institute,he said, would provide effective pre-service training and improve the quality of existing teachers.
“We are ready to work with all the states of the federation to train, retrain and update their teachers. The institute is ready to and capable of executing training workshops for states that may wish to use our services to upgrade the capacity of their teachers,” he said.
