The National Teachers Institute (NTI) Kaduna in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is set to train 18,367 unqualified teachers from Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) states.
The training, which is being done with funding from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), is to enhance the capacity of centre managers and facilitators to effectively utilize learning management in the quality of instruction to unqualified teachers.

This was disclosed by the Chief Executive of the NTI, Kaduna, Prof Musa Garba Maitafsir, at a 3-day E-facilitation workshop on the “effective utilization of the learning management system (LMS) for quality delivery” held in Yola.
Garba explained that the training was part of the NTI’s efforts to change the process of teaching and learning from the use of books and modules to e-processes of facilitation, adding that about 18,367 unqualified teachers are expected to benefit from it.
“After this course, we will find out the best among them to step down the training to other members of their facilitation community,” he said.
