NTIC, NMC set for 2015 annual National Mathematics competition

According to a statement issued by the NTIC Mathematics Head of Department, Mr. Yunus Esencayi, the first stage of the competition would be held in the 36 states of the country on January 24.
According to the statement, five students from each state will qualify for the final stage
Unlike last year where the NTIC awarded between 50 to 100 percent scholarship to the winners, this year the first seven students will get full scholarships.
Prizes to be won by winners include 150 thousand naira cash prize for students, 100 thousand naira cash prize for teachers.
Photocopy machines, desktop computers, printers would be given to best schools as prizes.
