The Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC), recently won 22 medals in the first round of Mathematics Without Borders (MWB) International Tournament.
The event was organized in Bulgaria.
The tournament is an academic mathematics tournament which aims at promoting the ancient science of Mathematics and is composed of four rounds, with the first two rounds being held in the partner schools.
From NTIC branches across Nigeria, 90 students participated simultaneously with 23,248 of their counterparts from 29 countries including: Canada, U.S.A., Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
At the end of the first round of the competition, 22 of NTIC students won six gold, four silver and 12 bronze medals.
The winners of gold medals were Abubakar Hafsat (Perfect Scorer); Maryam Idris Bowu (Perfect Scorer); Yunus Hassan Yunus (NTIC Yobe Primary); Luis Lu (NTIC Abuja Boys); Kaosisochukwu Karsten Enebe (NTIC Abuja Co-Ed) and Oghenerukevwe Esemitodje Patrick (Bright Sun College, Lagos Secondary).
