NUJ urged journalists to be security conscious

The National President of the NUJ, Mallam Muhammad Garba said this when he addressed journalists in Kaduna at the weekend. He said some people that are bent on causing disaffection might hide under any guise to cause problem before, during and after the elections.
According to him, journalists and other members of the public  have a stake in enhancing peace and harmony in the country for the benefit of elongating the democratic process in Nigeria without any rancour.
Mallam Garba, however, called on the three tiers of government and the Inspector-General of Police to respect the constitution. He said they should avoid anything that might cause the outbreak of law and order to protect the nation’s democracy and coexistence of its citizens.
