The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Benue South senatorial election, Daniel Onjeh, yesterday said the former senate president, David Mark, is no longer interested in legislative business, urging him to forget about the ordered re-run.
The Appeal Court sitting in Makurdi on Saturday nullified the March 28 election in which Mark was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Makurdi, Onjeh alleged that in the eight years which Mark held forte as the country’s number three citizen, the standard of living of the Idoma people greatly deteriorated with no meaningful achievement to show for it.
“His claim of support from his constituency is therefore false and preposterous”, he said.
