An Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Lawrence Onuchukwu, has said that his promise to provide free healthcare in the rural areas if elected as the chairman of the council is a trust that must be kept.
He made the pledge yesterday in Abuja after obtaining his nomination forms and paying the N1.1million fee.
He said that apart from the several programmes he designed to change the face of the council, he would also remain a loyal party member and respect party supremacy.
Onuchukwu, who is a pioneer member of The Buhari Organisation (TBO), said his relationship with all other aspirants contesting the ticket was cordial.
“I am going to provide free healthcare for women and children. Please mark my word, it is my bond. I will create jobs for youth of AMAC and ensure the proper development of market and motor parks,” Onuchukwu said.
He also promised that as a farmer, he would use his contacts to attract loans to the farmers.
His campaign Director General, Hon. Peter Chukwuemeka Diugwu, said that as a former AMAC candidate, he is pitching his tent with Onuchukwu due to his steadfastness and loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari and party principles.
