Last week, medical students of parallel session in Usmanu Danfodiyo University were directed to go home because of the school cannot handle their large numbers as classrooms and other requirements for condusive learning are not enough. It is sad that the school had not made proper plans when it admitted the students. Nigerian universities are not helping education in the country. The sad part of it is that the Nigerian Universities Commission is not regulating the institutions. It is my hope that this kind of disappointment will not happen again. Our universities should be standardised for the development of education in Nigeria.
