This interesting story reminds me of chance meeting I had with a group of young lads in one of the famous stores in London in December, 2008. They spoke Hausa, so I asked one of them in which school they were, he quickly answered. I was shocked to my marrows to learn that they were in a secondary school. He confirmed to me that they were many others, especially from Nigeria, and apart from upfront payment of their school fees by their parents in Nigeria, their rented accommodation in secure places and everything to make them live comfortably in London had been paid in advance.  Such students cannot be expected to come to Nigeria and pursue any higher education, having been indulged by their rich and privileged parents, mostly employees of the Federal Government and its agencies.
