The plaintiffs claimed that Ibrahim Mandawari used their pictures in a Chitex fashion magazine without their consent or authority in July, 2011, saying he deceived them by telling them that their pictures were going to be used in a new Hausa film magazine and is therefore collecting pictures of all Hausa film actors to be featured in the magazine.

The plaintiffs further claimed that they didn’t negotiate for any fee believing their picture were being collected for other purposes, only for them to come across their pictures used in a Chitex company fashion magazine in August 2011.

The case was mentioned before Justice Suleiman Baba Na Mallam last Wednesday. The judge has adjourned the case to 24th April for further mention.
