The family planning initiative was established to reduce supply-and-demand barriers to the use of family planning services in urban Nigeria.
Speaking at the commissioning in Offa, the state Commissioner for Health Kayode Issa, who was represented by state Family Planning Coordinator, Agnes Ajiboye commended NURHI’s intervention in the family planning related issues through training and retraining of health personnel, rehabilitation and equipping of the FP clinics in the Ilorin site.
Earlier, the state team leader of the NURHI Ilorin site, Aliyu Abubakar Sadiq, said the organization carried out re-roofing, tiling, rebuilding of two toilets at the Olomowewe FP clinic to serve the public better.
The state team leader said the organization also provided medical equipment such as autoclave, steriliser, screen, eight airport chairs, weighing scales, medicine cupboards with consumables, among other items.
He disclosed that the organization would address issue of serviceable equipments and furniture for the hospitals and clinics storerooms.
