A nurse, Ngozi Eboson, has been arrested by operatives of the Imo State Police Command for allegedly trafficking two children.
She was alleged to have sold the children to one Mrs Chinyere Ohanyere, popular known as Madam Chichi.
Our correspondent gathered that the nurse was arrested in the Owerri West area of the state after some operatives of the command had swooped on her.
The nurse had allegedly bought the children from two different women, Nkechi and Chikaodi, and sold them to Madam Chichi for N500,000 each.
The buyer, Madam Chichi, who was said to be desperate to keep her marriage, claimed to have given birth to the two babies.
Madam Chichi, our correspondent learnt, hails from Oguta in Imo State.
She was said to have been arrested by the police sometimes in August for trafficking a twin.
The police spokesperson, Mike Abattam, confirmed the arrest, adding that the command was working to arrest other suspects involved in the crime.
