Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 23-year-old nursing mother identified as Ella Samuel over alleged stolen money gift from her lover said to be an armed robber gang leader.
It was gathered that the suspected armed robbery led attacks on Amagba community and other areas in Benin City.
The gang is also said to have, in another operation, stolen an ATM machine, forcefully collected the owner’s pin number and transferred N460,000 from his account.
The money was traced to a bank account belonging to the suspect.

The police are also said to have tracked the suspect to a hotel in Delta State where he was arrested while her lover, who is the gang leader, escaped.
It was gathered that during investigation, the suspect was discovered to have four children with four different notorious men who are on the wanted list of the police.
Speaking with journalists, the suspect said she was arrested after her boyfriend sent stolen money to her account.
The command’s spokesman, SP Moses Yamu, said effort is on to arrest other fleeing members of the gang.
