Nursing professionals seek improved working condition

President of the association Comrade Adeniyi AbdulRafiu stated this when he led executive members of the association on a courtesy call to the Kwara State Head of Service, Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed.
AbdulRafiu said the improvement on condition of service of nurses would enable them meet the standard of their counterparts in other sectors, just as he urged the Head of Service to pass their message to the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
He urged the government to consider the scheme of service as regards nursing officers’ cadres in terms of rights and privileges of the profession.
While saying that internship for nursing officers should be regarded as very crucial in the Nursing profession, he assured Mohammed that Nurses and Midwives in Kwara are ready to work with the government.
In his remarks, the Head of Service charged members of the association to obtain relevant qualification before practicing the profession, advising that instead of blaming the Head of Service of the Federation over issues affecting their members, the association should encourage members to acquire the right qualification.
