NVBF concludes Beach Volleyball technical workshop for tertiary institutions

Representatives of 15 Nigerian tertiary institutions have successfully completed the beach volleyball technical workshop sanctioned by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF).

One of the resource coaches, Former National Beach Volleyball player, Kayode Ajilore, said the workshop was aimed at teaching prospective individuals willing to become beach volleyball coaches with technical knowledge and fundamental skills of coaching.

The Coach of Nigeria Immigration said, “The workshop has enhanced the technical skills and expertise of individuals in tertiary institutions who are interested in becoming coaches of Beach Volleyball.

“This is a course that most individuals have been looking forward to. We notified the board members of the Nigeria University Games (NUGA) and all necessary arrangements to have a successful program were put in place.”

Another resource coach, Vincent Unogwu, said the workshop will boost the capacity of the Educational Institutions Coaches and this will guarantee quality performance when Beach Volleyball is finally played at the Nigeria University Games (NUGA).

On his part, the Head Coach of KADA Emeralds said “This workshop is the first of its kind and a right step in the right direction. It will boost the capacity of the Tertiary Institutions coaches and guarantee quality performance when Beach Volleyball is finally played in NUGA.”

Beach Volleyball will be making her debut at this year’s Nigeria University Games (NUGA) come March 2022.
