The Federal Government hads approved the appointment of Dr (Mrs.) Francisca Nwafulugo as Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.

A statement by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Obini Onuchukwu made  available to journalists  in Awka on Tuesday, said Dr Nwafulugo succeeded Dr Izuchukwu Onu, who had been on acting capacity in the last 12 months.

He said, Dr Nwafulugo’s letter of appointment took effect from Feburay 4, 2019. She is the first female rector of the institution

“Until her appointment, Dr Nwafulugo was a Chief Lecturer at the chemical engineering department of Kaduna Polytechnic,” the statement said.
