Nwakobi bags European-American varsity’s honorary doctorate

Chief Jerry Nwakobi has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree in real estate management recently by the European-American University Commonwealth of Dominica African Regional Operations.

Dr. Jerry Nwakobi, from Akamunato village Ifite-Nteje, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, started his academic pursuit from Nteje Community Primary School and proceeded to Kings College Onitsha where he completed his secondary school in 1980.

He took up employment with then National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) from 1981 to 1982.

He later engaged in business briefly before going to the United States of America for higher education. He enrolled at the California State University, Los Angeles and finished with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1988.

He was also an active member of the Pan-African Student Association during his university days. He holds diploma from East London University in financial management and further studied and obtained an Advanced Degree in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing, Stanford University in California.

A certified Public Accountant, Nwakobi has worked in various capacities in various financial companies in Los Angeles as a financial consultant. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Consultants and Certified Life Underwriters.
