Although it is crystal clear that the conference will fail, but lest we forget: it was this same Tony Nyiam who was among the 1996 coup plotters that if they had succeeded, aimed to excise five predominantly Muslim states in the north from the rest of Nigeria.
It was no wonder that he was keen on actualising that aim through his energetic and sometimes confrontational statements from his position as a member of Jonathan’s panel.
Which, to me was ok, because he was exercising a right provided by the new democratic environment to achieve, through discussion in the panel, what they could not attain through the collective barrel of the gun and tank that they wanted to dismember the country with.
