The Edo State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Ifeoma Ben-Ushie Francis, has appealed to Governor Goodwin Obaseki to construct more hostels for corps members posted to the state.
Mrs Francis made the appeal during the oath taking ceremony of the 1,616 corps members posted to the state.
She said the scheme was presently faced with some problems which were affecting the smooth implementation of its programmes.
She listed some of the challenges as inadequate hostel accommodation, double-bunk beds and mattresses and low fence of the camp.

Meanwhile, Gov Obaseki, represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Humanitarian Affairs, Zubairu Dada Abubakar, warned the corps members against getting involved in cybercrime, cultism and hard drugs.
