Maj.-Gen. Sule Kazaure, Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has advised corps members of the 2019 Batch A in Edo to embrace and practice the four cardinal objectives of the NYSC.
Kazaure gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after an inspection of the 2019 Batch A NYSC members hostel at Okada Grammar School, Okada on Thursday.
Kazaure stressed the need for all corps members to maintain neutrality and be acquainted with one another.
“The cardinal programmes, which are the orientation, PPA, Community Development Services and Passing Out Parade is to help you develop in all aspects of life.
“This is the best NYSC camp ever and I am happy with what I’m seeing,” he said.
The D-G urged corps members that would be deployed to different areas of the state to serve with all their heart.
He, thereafter, commended the quarter guard, the groups of the Man O’ War, the dance and drama team, and the NYSC band for receiving him.
The Edo Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr Ojo Adebayo, thanked the D-G for taking out time to inspect the NYSC camp.
He said that the corps members were particularly “happy, elated and excited’’ to have the D-G in the orientation camp.
The D-G inspected the male and female hostels, the kitchen and dripping centers.
A total of 1,939 corps members were present at the orientation camp and will be deployed to all local government areas in Edo to serve. (NAN)
