OAUTHC lab gets SANAS accreditation certificate

The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) laboratory of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC) Ile-Ife has received the South African National Accreditation System certificate for its efficiency.
OAUTHC Chief Medical Director, Professor John Akintunde Okeniyi, received the certificate in Ile-Ife and assured that the management would do more in providing tertiary healthcare services to Nigerians.
While presenting the certificate, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Programmes) of APIN Public Health Initiatives, Dr Jay Osi Samuels, said the OAUTHC lab was able to achieve the accreditation having met the SANAS criteria and charged the hospital to sustain the standard.
Also speaking, a Professor of Pediatrics who is the Project Coordinator of ART laboratory, Professor Ebunoluwa Aderonke Adejuyigbe, said the accreditation placed the OAUTHC PCR lab on a global reputation of high standard.
