The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has commenced payment of N20,000 monthly allowance to 78 Libya returnees .

The monarch had recently pledged to make the monthly payment for three months to the 78 Libya returnees who paid him a courtesy call at the palace.

Presenting the cash to the beneficiaries yesterday, the Secretary, Oba Ewuare Foundation, Esosa Eremwanarue, said the palace in conjunction with Oba Ewuare Foundation would facilitate the training of other returnees who might not have acquired basic skills.
