Northerners, must understand the bane of our problem. No matter how Middle Belter one subscribes to, the Southerner does not have the organic feeling that you are one of them. Pathological hatred can and shall never move a nation forward, nor will the frustrated elements for no reason, achieve a narrow minded agenda that is based on hate scheme and lack of forward thinking strategy to improve their own living standards.

In my view and the popular belief is that the trio of IBB, Abdulsalami, Gusau, all retired Generals, for the May 1999 Presidential candidate under the PDP, made sure that Obasanjo had to be, at all costs.

The government of Abdussalami was the vehicle used to plant the seed of confusion that Obasanjo in particular and the PDP as a party implanted so as to remain in power for the next 60 years come rain, come sunshine.  The evils that men do lives after them, so let it be and so let us see. For these characters are still at it, very much around and the do-or die missiles are strategically positioned and these warriors are in trenches.

If democracy is the rule of the majority, the first undemocratic impositions were the kangaroo candidatures of Obasanjo under the PDP and Falae under the APP/AD amalgam as the only options. Both were Yorubas, Christians, Southerners and in particular “the super ones” among the Southerners, from the South West enclave of Nigeria. The contraption was to avoid the type of Tofa/Abiola saga. Head or tail, it was designed to be the shon of the shoil, the in gbati-ngbati, that Lord Luggard saw as the most treacherous tribes he ever met in his colonial life.

This senseless contraption that lacks vision and wisdom, from the so-called Northern power brokers and the self centered, was a scheme to erase their guilt or so they thought, which has nothing to do with me as a citizen of Katsina state and millions in the North whom they did not consult. It was more from the empty but noisy South West press that kept intimidating the trio and especially IBB who annulled June 12. But what of that of Shehu Yar’adua who won the primaries convincingly? It was even worst injustice than the case of Abiola or any June 12 that NADECO opposed the election from day one. Why should the case of the democratic elections of Shehu be a non-event? I cannot recall ever talking with Shehu nor that he even knew who I was till his death.

Going down memory lane, during IBB’s regime, the deliberate chicanery and deceit about handing over power to civilians was a joke. The options A4 and the rest where late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’adua made the difference by building bridges and clinching the southern votes, were disregarded by IBB. If any, the  truncation of Shehu’s mandates by IBB’s dishonest manipulation of the PDP and NRC were worse than the so-called Abiola’s,  June 12 that is touted dubiously by noise makers.

When Obasanjo, a wounded “lion” but indeed a cowardly and vindictive Zionist stooge that the former Chief of Army staff Gen. Bamaiyi his interview in the Daily Trust and other thoughtful Nigerians saw as an unfit and dangerous candidate for the presidency of Nigeria, the trio of  IBB, Gusau, Abdulsalami, knew it but deliberately or mischievously over-looked. Now it has become their waterloo and a disaster for Nigerians, including the Yorubas themselves. Although it is on record that they rejected Obasanjo at the polls in 1999 because they saw him as a leper and a serpent. That singular act that brought Obasanjo, the seed of anarchy that the trio planted for Nigerians, is now the cancerous tree with HIV/AIDS that has established.

Obasanjo, like Jonathan supported Ganiyu Adams, a terrorist and the terrorist organization like the OPC that he led, to commit crimes like MENDS under Okah.  Obasanjo only encouraged OPC and Ganiyu Adams to commit more and more crimes. If Nigerians are surprised that Jonathan is looking the other way in the case of MEND October 1st, 2010 bombing then they are naive.

Now that the the Generals are all out for 2011 Presidency, the ordinary Nigerian is the looser. It is not a battle of emancipation or the desire to better Nigerians but a cabal bent on putting their agenda. Jonathan is Obasanjo’s stooge and a pawn in the chess game between the IBB camp and the Obasanjo camp. The PDP has misruled for over 11 years and the disastrous state of the nation cannot be wished away.

Late General Sani Abacha was a soldier and a leader with vision far in excess of Obasanjo and not a stooge of the West and Zionist and a nationalist to the core who dealt with the terrorism and nonsense that the likes of MEND and OPC tried, to test his will. Like a lion and small goats in the forests when he sneezed, they fled into hiding and Nigerians so growth, development, discipline, security of life and property that even the MEND and the NADECO as well as their Western/Zionist masters testified to after his death.

During Abacha’s regime, with the PTF that spent small amounts of money from petroleum tax, Nigerians saw the difference under the PTF with General Buhari at the head. However, with billions of dollars available to Obasanjo, Nigerians saw despair, corruption and hopelessness in their lives. While during Abacha’s administration the barrel of crude oil was below 10 US dollars, it was in excess of 70 US dollars for Obasanjo’s which due to vindictiveness, was wasted.

Despite all the bad leadership, Nigerians due to tribal, religious and corrupt mind, root for spent forces who have no relevance and no desire to move their nation forward. They cling to baseless sentiments on people that have been tested and found as extremely corrupt, extravagant and most Nigerians doubt if they fear Allah/God from their actions and with the benefit of hindsight, are not prepared to lead Nigerian and Nigerians into happiness and prosperity nor grow the economy among the growing developing nations like Ghana. They are instead, contented to ensure that Nigeria with the highest number of the black race, prove that the black man shall remain irrelevant and forever backward. That reason and common sense is in short supply.

The long and short of the analysis is that we are tired of the PDP and the manipulation of corrupt leaders. After 12 years of misrule, if Nigerians again put their trust and wealth that Allah (SWT)/God made abundant through His infinite Grace on selfish fools, then it is most unfortunate. We may reflect on the Qur’anic verse where Allah (SWT) in An-Nisa, verse 135 said: O you who believe; stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you avoid justice; and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.
