Obasanjo’s action marks PDP’s final fall – Senator Danboyi

“I saw it coming. An organisation cannot operate the way the PDP is operating. It will just simply send its honest members leaving. And when that happens, it will mark the final crumble of such an organisation. Obasanjo’s leaving is all the PDP needed to head to the grave,” Danboyi, who also dumped the PDP earlier in January, told Daily Trust.
Danboyi dumped the PDP for the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), after his aspiration to return to the Senate to represent Nasarawa-North suffered a setback at the PDP nomination exercise which he challenged without a positive feedback. He was in the Senate between 2003 and 2007 on the platform of the PDP.
He hailed Obasanjo’s action as “right”, explaining that “he is an elder statesman; he is too much for the PDP to keep as a member. He should be speaking for the nation, not the PDP.”
