Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has dismissed his alleged plan to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor spoke on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obaseki, while fielding questions from State House reporters, said he could not abandon the party that gave him cover while he was pushed out of his former platform.
He also called for the electronic transmission of all election results in the country.
Obaseki had last year, following his rift with the former National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, dumped APC for PDP. He won his re-election on the platform of the PDP.
